On the first day of the Chinese New Year, early in the morning, everybody woke up...preparing themselves for a celebration to welcome a new member to the family...at 9 am..we arrived at the mosque in Kota Damansara attending our brother's 'akad nikah' Yazid Bin Ghazali and Amalina Bt. Mustafa. Exactly at 9:30 am the 'Tok Kadi" arrived to begin the ceremony...he gave us "tazkirah" for half and hour about marriage life do's and don'ts. For those who had been married for quite a long time..this was a refreshing moment for them...sorts of like a reminder..the ceremony took place at 10:15 am, with only one say...my brother is a married man already and we have a new sister in- law...tears of joy and happiness ran down my cheeks....we had a small feast after that and changed our 'hantaran'...then had our photo sessions...On the second day of the Chinese New Year, was the wedding reception on Lina's side..the arrival of the bridegroom's family and relatives was at 1pm...we gathered at the Umar Al-Khattab Mosque at 12:45pm before we made a convoy to the Bukit Damansara Community Hall next door..arriving at the hall...we were welcomed by the bride's family...we lined up outside for the grand entrance...with the 'kompang' group in front of us...before entering the hall..a 'doa' recite was done...we were seated at our table and were entertained with 'silat' performance, the melodious 'kompang' group and a slide show of our beloved newly wed couple....Yazid and Lina....the food was delicious...
To Ajid: be a good husband, love, accept and guide your wife with you sincere heart
To Lina: be a good wife, love and accept Ajid as it is...be with him no matter what happen...support each other
Lastly, welcome to our family...
